Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead teams charged with capturing new business in various sectors
Grow, train, develop and lead a team of account executives
Work closely with the Creative Director to deliver key results for our clients
Create, Develop and Maintain great client relationships
Manage and set clear, measurable performance goals for all direct reports
Create a culture of success within the team, with ongoing business and goal achievement
Work very closely with the Accounts Team to establish successful support and integrate strategies
40%+ travel to build market, in-person meetings, customers, partners and VIPs to develop key relationships
Oversee all business development functions, budget, operations, KPI’s and staff
Ensure appropriate allocation of business development resources to meet business goals
Oversee and manage strategic proposal preparations and submission process, with oversight of strategy, pricing, recruitment and reviews
Identify opportunities to develop and strengthen relationships to advance the business. To include cross functional teams within the organization as well as with customer and industry partners.
Develop organization structure and tactical approach to drive revenue and increase margin.
Research and implement complete analysis of accounts; identify strategic drivers, programs and funding initiatives to drive larger ROI for both near and long-term growth
Ownership of forecasting targets and pipeline management to present to senior management
Setting daily, weekly, monthly and yearly targets, and implementing various incentives to ensure they are achieved.
Trusted advisor with ability to manage client expectations throughout the duration of client engagement
Negotiate and close contracts with client’s key decision makers
Effectively facilitate day-to-day management of accounts both internally and externally
Build relationships with key marketing, merchandising, and media decision makers within client organizations, while understanding the landscape and gaining account penetration
Job requirements
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree
Proven work experience as a Director of Accounts, Business Development Director or other senior role, 7-10 years of experience
Proven track record of building out Salesforce, KPIs, and processes that achieved/exceeded quotas and company objectives both as an individual contributor and manager.
Successful experience building and managing territories
Proven experience working within a small-medium company environment
Diverse Client Management Experience (client side, ad solutions, direct marketing, agency experience).
Self-motivated – Able to identify opportunities, sell new business, and close sales
Solid quantitative background with an understanding of analytic tools and techniques
Effective communication across multiple levels of an organization
Works well in a team/highly collaborative environment
Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
Strong leadership skills
Excellent communications skills
Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
Ability to influence and drive innovation with organizations
Flexibility in work schedule (i.e. evenings and weekends as necessary) and occasional travel
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Professional proficiency in foreign language, such as Arabic
Master’s Degree or higher in related field
Familiar with project management systems. Knowledge of Airtable is a plus.
